This 10kW system consists of 25 x AEG Monocrystalline panels of 400W, and a Fronius Symo 10kVa, 3-phase inverter.

Such a system produces about 17000kWh per year, yielding annual savings of €3600.

The environmental characteristics of an area are an extremely important parameter that needs to be considered in the designing of the system placement. Systems in areas that experience high winds are in need of additional support upon installation, so as to avoid movements and damage of the panels. For this project, double the cement blocks needed to support the system on the roof were used, in order to increase the weight of the structure. Moreover, the whole assembly was secured on the inside of the surrounding walls.

The Net-Metering billing method is a mechanism that debits the amount of energy produced by the solar system and not used directly onto the household, for future use. For 1-phase households, the maximum size allowed to be installed is 4.16 kW, whereas for 3-phase households this limit is 10 kW.
