The community council of Pyrgos manages a football stadium that accommodates high number of athletes every day. That leads to huge volumes of hot water demands and fuel costs. The community is looking for ways to reduce hot water costs.

Solution

To reduce hot water costs, Limcen Engineers designed a combined system of solar thermal panels and liquid petroleum gas* (LPG) line. The solar panels provide hot water during the sunny days and the liquid gas is used as the auxiliary system. Solar thermal technology is considered renewable source of energy and it is totally friendly to the environment. LPG is also a clean and convenient energy source because of the very high combustion efficiency.

The combination of these two systems can lower the fuel costs by more than 60% compared to common boilers.

*Such systems must only be designed by skilled engineers, because very strict specifications are governing the storing and the installation process of LPG.
